One of the great venues in Philadelphia, I always love shooting here. The view from the mezzanine looking down on the dance floor is something you just don’t have at most venues. Great vibe, plenty of space and you have Ott running the show! The Ballroom at the Ben is a classic!
If you want an incredible downtown location, the Ben is in the very heart of Philly. It’s just a short walk from the Liberty Bell Center, Independence Hall, and the historic Old City. There are fine bars, restaurants, museums, hotels, and markets nearby.
The venue is absolutely spectacular. The magnificent elegance of this classic restored ballroom makes it ideal for any special occasion, with its exquisite chandeliers, soaring arches, intricately carved columns lit with sconces, European ambiance, and turn-of-the-century charm. Guests can have hors d’oeuvres and cocktails on the mezzanine level, which overlooks the ballroom.
The Ben has top-notch event planners and Finley Catering is its exclusive caterer with over 40 years of expertise in the business.
Tip: If you plan on doing a night shot, consider going downstairs and using the lobby area of the Franklin Residences instead of the balcony of the venue. The lobby affords a greater variety of locations for a romantic end of the evening set of images. There’s a reflecting pool and lots of little nooks and crannies for the perfect shot. If you have time, do both!
