The Cairnwood Estate is a wedding venue located within the Bryn Athyn Historic District, surrounded by some of Philadelphia's finest architecture. It features Gothic-Romanesque style Bryn Athyn Cathedral and the world-renowned Glencairn museum.
The Cairnwood Estate, built by 19th-century industrialist John Pitcairn, is a stunning example of Gilded Age architecture. This lovely sanctuary boasts beautiful gardens and vast grounds, which provide a unique and beautiful setting for a truly remarkable occasion.
The meticulous decorative features are reminiscent of classical Greek and Roman construction and French Renaissance concepts. Behind the high stone walls that separate Cairnwood from the rest of the world lies an exquisite backdrop for your special day. Cairnwood estate has been hosting wedding receptions for over a century.
The Estates mansion and grounds are elegant and picturesque but keep in mind that the adjacent property around Bryn Athyn Cathedral and the Glencairn Museum are not part of Cairnwood Estate. The Glencairn grounds are available for a fee of $350 for up to two hours of photography time and I would definitely recommend working the fee into your budget if possible. The collection of images that can be created when combing the Glencairn and Cairnwood grounds is spectacular! Bryn Athyn is only available for photos if your ceremony was held in the cathedral.
