Tinghui and Steve’s love story started online, thanks to Coffee Meets Bagel. They hit it off right away, and their first date was something out of a romantic movie. Steve, being the creative type, planned a date at the Blue Light off King Street. Funny enough, Tinghui didn’t drink, but that didn’t stop them from having a blast. From there, Steve took her to the swankiest speakeasy in town, where they talked and laughed until closing time. What made Tinghui fall for Steve? His adorable smile, his smarts, and his kindness. And for Steve, it was Tinghui’s strength, her determination, and her ability to make him laugh. Their love grew with every adventure they shared. Steve couldn’t help but fall harder for Tinghui when they were in Medellin, Colombia. Even though he got sick and was stuck in their hotel room, Tinghui stayed by his side, taking care of him without a second thought. Tinghui, on the other hand, cherished the moments when she showed Steve around her hometown in China. Despite being away for so long, Steve embraced every moment, and Tinghui knew he was the one. It wasn’t one big moment that made them realize they wanted to be together forever. It was the little things, the everyday moments that showed them they were meant to be. And then came the proposal. On their anniversary, during a stroll in Medowlark Gardens, Steve popped the question. With a photographer secretly capturing the moment, Steve got down on one knee at the Pavilion on the Water, a place that held special meaning as Tinghui’s name in Chinese means “Pavilion on the Water.” Tinghui was over the moon and said yes without hesitation. Their love story, which started with a swipe and a date at a speakeasy, had become a beautiful journey of love, laughter, and adventure. Tinghui and Steve knew they were meant to be together, and they couldn’t wait to start the next chapter of their lives side by side.
