Georgetown D.C. Engagement Session | Katherine & Keaton

Katherine and Keaton’s story started with a first date that almost didn’t happen. They met on Hinge and planned to meet at The Wharf in Washington, DC. Katherine was hesitant to go, but that evening quickly turned into hours of conversation and laughter, so much so that her friends nearly worried when she disappeared from her phone. What began as a simple night out became the start of something lasting.

Their connection grew through shared creativity and everyday moments. From thrifting and DIY projects to long walks and spontaneous plans, like building a patio together during a 2025 heatwave, they found a rhythm as a team. Katherine brings the ideas, Keaton brings them to life, and together they’ve built a relationship grounded in communication, support, and plenty of laughter.

On May 30, 2025, Keaton proposed at the Library of Congress, a place deeply meaningful to Katherine. Inside the Main Reading Room, he handed her a book he had altered to read Marry Me, with the ring hidden inside. It was thoughtful, personal, and completely unexpected. For Katherine, a lifelong writer and reader, it was a moment that felt entirely her own, marking the start of their next chapter together.
