The Crystal Tea Room
Venue Information
The Crystal Tea Room is Philadelphia’s largest event space, located inside the historic Wanamaker Building in Center City. Blending timeless architectural charm with modern sophistication, the
Crystal Tea Room offers an unforgettable setting for large-scale weddings that don’t sacrifice intimacy or style.
Guests arrive through a soaring atrium, a glass-enclosed conservatory filled with
natural light, lush greenery, and flowing fountains. It’s an impressive welcome and a serene setting for cocktail hour before the celebration transitions into the
grand ballroom. Inside, hand-carved columns, inlaid marble floors, and the venue’s namesake crystal chandelier suspended from towering ceilings set the tone for a truly elegant event.
With a capacity of up to 900 guests, the ballroom offers both dramatic scale and comfortable flow, ideal for everything from formal dinners to energetic dance-floor celebrations.
Managed by Finley Catering, one of Philadelphia’s most respected hospitality teams, the venue delivers full-service coordination, customizable French-style menus, and in-house wedding cake options. From layout planning to final sendoff, every detail is handled with precision, making the guest experience seamless from start to finish.

The venue’s architecture provides rich visual depth, consistent lighting, and
refined backdrops that require little additional styling. Marble columns, the warm glow of chandeliers, and the expansive layout offer opportunities for capturing grand scenes and quiet moments alike, all without needing to leave the building.
For couples who want the iconic Broad Street shot with
City Hall in the background, the location makes it an easy and rewarding detour. Evening is the best time to capture this image. A short walk from the ballroom offers a welcome pause in the day, just a few quiet minutes to step away, breathe, and reconnect.
The result? A long-exposure photo with City Hall illuminated behind them, subtle light trails from passing traffic, and a striking sense of calm and contrast that simply isn’t possible during daylight hours.
