Historic Glen Foerd Wedding |Sasha and Edward

The historic Glen Foerd Mansion, the grande dame of Delaware riverfront mansions, provided the perfect background for Sasha and Ed’s romantic and elegant wedding which took place on a beautiful evening. The bride’s stunning dress came from Essense of Australia’s Bold Wedding Dress collection. Sasha dazzled the 132 guests in her form-fitting ivory dress with a sweetheart neckline and ruffled skirt. To add a bit of fun and sass, Sasha wore a pair of Badgley Mishka Georgia crystal embellished t-strap sandals. Not to be outdone, Ed rocked out a black shawl tux from Hugo Boss.

Although the theme of the wedding was classic elegance, the focus was on family and friends. A close friend of the couple officiated the non-traditional ceremony, held on the lawn of the mansion. Both the bride and groom had seven attendants; two of the bridesmaids were Sasha’s cousins with whom she has a special bond. The mother of the bride, Beatriz, tenderly placed a necklace around her daughter’s neck as part of the final preparations and was seen to shed a tear or two during the ceremony. Dennis, the bride’s father could not have been more proud of his beautiful and accomplished daughter.

The reception featured a delicious meal, followed by Patrick Mazzella of Mazz Entertainment getting the party started. After the traditional opening dances, the bride and groom had a surprise for their guests by providing 1920s themed hats and scarves for La Hora Loca, a Venezuelan tradition in which the guests go crazy on the dance floor in style.

The evening ended with Ed and his groomsmen enjoying cigars on the lawn to unwind after an amazing day. But it didn’t take long for Sasha to find them and join in the fun!
