Venue Information
One of the most beautiful wedding sites in the city is the Cescaphe Ballroom. The lofty cathedral ceilings, crystals draped in pearls, antiqued brass fittings, elegant columns, and a floor-to-ceiling bar provide a feeling of luxury in the grand style. The Cescaphe’s stage is lit by candlelight, creating a naturally romantic ambiance.
Guests will be delighted to see the Bride entering from the top of the grand staircase and amazing photoshoots from the Juliet Balconies.
As part of their signature cocktail hour and a half, the Cescaphe Ballroom offers three different cocktail areas:
- Garden Courtyard: It serves as the entrance to Cescaphe and as your first cocktail space
- Lounge Area: The Lounge Area is primarily used during the winter season.
- Main Cocktail room: This is the entrance to Cescaphe and as your first cocktail space. A four-balcony Main Cocktail Room overlooks the Grand Ballroom. It holds a chef-attended action station and a forty-foot mahogany food library that features a customizable ice sculpture, a famous raw bar, a full-service bar, and a baby grand player piano for soft background music.
Expert’s Tip:
If your planning to hold your ceremony in the outside courtyard at Vie, try to time the ceremony so the shadows created by the sun hitting the surrounding buildings don’t become an issue. It’s a beautiful location for a ceremony but I’ve had instances where the shadows literally divided the bride/groom and bridal party in half. This creates a problem for wide, storytelling images so keep this in mind.

Waiman and Ronnie’s Downtown Club Wedding was a perfect mix of modern and traditional with a crazy party attached at the end! You may think that a couple from Atlanta, Georgia wouldn’t want a winter wedding in Philadelphia. When I called Allison the morning of the …

Winter weddings can be a huge cause for stress due to the fear of the unknown weather that can occur. Will it be cold? Windy and cold? Snow or rain? Will we need to shoot our portraits inside? This was a great day spent with an awesome couple! Stacey and Patrick designed their amazing Tendenza Wedding by taking standard traditions and making them their own! Stacey didn’t bother with “something old, something new etc. Instead she and her groom incorporated “handfasting” into their non-traditional ceremony, adapting an old celtic tradition in which the couple’s hands are bound together with a ribbon as public declaration of their commitment to …
