Kelly and Patrick became friends in high school. As a couple, they enjoy coming to the gym together as a couple. Kelly began accompanying him last winter and has grown to love it just as much as he has since high school. Aside from that, they are opposites in terms of other things. Patrick enjoys snowboarding in the winter. On the other hand, Kelly enjoys the sun and is an Eagles supporter, whilst she is a Cowboys fan.
Their relationship works well even though they have opposing interests. Each has their own hobbies and interests, and they encourage each other’s pursuits. They know how to lift each other up when they’re down, and the best thing is that they bring out the best in each other. Furthermore, for the previous nine years, they have known everything there is to know about each other.
The Proposal:
Kelly’s sister’s house was the location of the proposal. Kelly asked Patrick if he wanted to go out to dinner at their favorite steakhouse a week before the proposal, and he accepted. She had no idea that she had essentially set up her engagement.
After planning the meal, he contacted Kelly’s family the next day to offer assistance in getting everything ready at her sister’s house. Her sister had invited them over earlier that day because she was having some friends over.
While driving to her sister’s house, she noticed the driveway was empty. She exited the vehicle and walked out the back. Kelly was moved to tears when a violinist began playing an Elvis song, which brought both of their families to the top of the hill. Patrick goes down on one knee the next thing she knows.
