Morris Arboretum

The Morris Arboretum in Philadelphia is a private garden wedding location. The intimate outdoorsy site is ideal for couples seeking a respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. The gorgeous property is the definition of natural enchantment, with 92 acres of colorful, eclectic gardens, classic Victorian structures, and beautiful fountains.

The location can accommodate up to 175 guests. Magnolia Slope, a hillside place with a backdrop of rolling hills, and Two Lines, the garden's highest point with a sculpture and garden vistas, are two of the many outdoor ceremony locations on the grounds. There are two other alternatives: Azalea Meadow, a large open field, and Baxter Memorial, a round brick patio near the meadow garden. Couples can also choose Widener Lawn, an ample open lawn space, or the Rose Garden, a secluded spot for up to 20 guests, from July to September. Pennock Walk, a lovely walled garden, is open from April to September.

Out on a Limb, a gorgeous forest walkway, or Widener Plaza, a location near the ancient stone carriage house, are excellent options for cocktail hour. The tent connected to the Widener Visitor Center, a beautiful 100-year-old stone carriage house, can be used for receptions. The lower gallery and classroom sections are included in the welcome area as part of the amenity space. Your wedding party can utilize the McLean Room as a private bridal suite before and during the reception. On-site parking and wheelchair access are available. Your engagement party, engagement photoshoot, and wedding shower can all be held at the site.
