One North Broad Wedding | Camilla & Aengus
Aengus and Camilla found love through the digital maze of dating apps. Little did they know that their journey would become a beautiful tale of resilience, love, and surprises.
Their story began on Hinge, where a virtual connection turned into a real-life encounter. Their first date, on March 10th, 2020, marked the beginning of a love story that would endure the challenges of the uncertain times ahead. The very next day, the world was hit by the harsh reality of Covid-19 turning into a pandemic, and life as they knew it came to a standstill.
Undeterred by the circumstances, Aengus and Camilla embarked on a unique journey of love and togetherness. Dates in the park, drive-in movies, puzzle nights, and explorations in the heart of Philadelphia became the building blocks of their relationship. As they faced the uncertainties of the world together, their bond grew stronger.
United by shared interests and passions, the couple found joy in simple yet meaningful activities. Jigsaw puzzles, binge-watching TV shows, reading comic books, attending concerts, and spending quality time became the glue that held them together. Their love was not just built on romance but on a foundation of friendship and shared experiences.
What made them a remarkable couple was their unwavering support for each other. Through arguments and challenges, they stood by each other’s side, working through issues and growing as individuals and as a couple. Their commitment to weathering any storm together was the cornerstone of their relationship.
The Proposal:
As their love story unfolded, Aengus decided to take the next big step. Under the charming ambiance of Headhouse Square, beneath the Shambles, he chose the perfect moment to propose. On their way to a dinner reservation at Zahav, he dropped to one knee, surprising Camilla.
At first, Camilla thought it was a playful joke, urging Aengus to stop fooling around. It wasn’t until she spotted a hidden photographer capturing the moment that the reality sank in. Shocked and overwhelmed with emotion, Camilla said yes, and their night became even more magical.
The proposal location held deep significance for the couple. It was a spot they frequented during their time in Philadelphia, a place filled with memories of dinners and drinks. Unbeknownst to Camilla, the proposal site was strategically chosen on the way to Zahav, ensuring the element of surprise and creating a beautiful narrative in the city they loved.
Their love story, marked by resilience, shared passions, and unexpected surprises, continued to unfold as Aengus and Camilla looked forward to a lifetime of adventures together. As they celebrated their third anniversary on March 10th, 2023, the couple remained a testament to the enduring power of love in the face of life’s challenges.

“I highly recommend hiring Ralph Deal as your wedding photographer! Our pictures turned out beautifully and we got all of the shots that we wanted. Ralph was such a great communicator leading up to the wedding. We had several meetings to discuss what we wanted for our wedding, which was extremely helpful. Ralph wanted to know every detail about us and the wedding day and was very thorough. I especially recommend Ralph because he made the day run so smoothly. Because my fiancée and I didn’t want to do a first look, we had a very tight amount of time to get our pictures taken in.
Ralph was so good at directing us, our bridal party, and our families so he could quickly get the perfect shots. We spent the 2 hours between the mass ending and the reception starting getting all of the photos we wanted. Ralph was so efficient that we didn’t miss 1 minute of our cocktail hour! Ralph is not only a great photographer, but a nice and fun person to work with. I feel like we got to know Ralph and he got to know us. It was so nice working with someone who made us feel so comfortable.
And like I said, our pictures are absolutely gorgeous.-Grace Abbott
