So, I'd been hearing about the DUMBO neighborhood in Brooklyn for years but had never ventured across the river from Manhattan to check it out. That changed when in a span of a week, I had two clients request to have their engagement sessions there...win win! Alicia and Matt were coming from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut where they met and are both PhD candidates.
Unfortunately they hit a ton of traffic on the way to Brooklyn and were about 45 minutes late for their DUMBO e-session. When a couple is late for their session, they are stressed out upon arrival 100% of the time. Knowing this, I like to reassure them that we have plenty of time and to just try and shrug it off, put it behind them and have some fun.
Thankfully, Alicia and Matt did just that and we proceeded to have a super fun time together. I love their personalities and the way they are together. They truly enjoy each other and aren't afraid to show it!
The Manhattan Bridge makes for a beautiful backdrop as does the industrial vibe of the neighborhood.
