David and Allie both attended the same sleepaway camp in middle school, though their paths never crossed at the time. Fifteen years later, they matched on a dating app in New York City and made the camp connection on their first date. What could have been a funny coincidence quickly became the beginning of something much more meaningful.
By their second date, sitting along the East River with bagels, they already felt the kind of certainty many couples spend years trying to name. Their relationship grew from that easy connection: full of humour, patience, and the simple comfort of being with someone who feels like home. David says he fell in love because Allie is amazing and puts up with him, and Allie says the same.
The proposal came as a complete surprise in Rittenhouse Square last March, with both of their families and friends hiding nearby to celebrate the moment. As they begin their wedding day at The Ben, David and Allie are most looking forward to their first look, hearing each other’s vows, and being surrounded by their loved ones on the dance floor.
