Jaime and Adam had a plan in mind for their Center City Philadelphia Wedding at the Crystal Tea Room: Don't avoid the obvious!
Since they were getting ready at The Loews Hotel (right around the corner from the Tea Room and across from City Hall) they told me that they just wanted to walk around the area and make all of our images without getting in a car or trolley.
Nice. And. Simple.
And that's exactly what we did! We also had a lot of fun, including a surprise invitation to go inside of one of City Hall's private meeting rooms to take some photos. That was just one very cool part of an awesome day for this wonderful couple from Baltimore!
Getting Ready at The Loews Hotel

There were a couple of moments that I'll always remember from this wedding day:
When Jaime had a card dropped off to Adam, no one knew that besides the beautiful note inside, there was an image of Adam and his grandfather. He was very close with his grandfather who had unfortunately passed away before the wedding. Adam put the photograph in his left jacket pocket, right next to his heart.
The other moment is something I overheard Jaime say. Like most brides, Jaime was a bit anxious and had a lot on her mind before we left for the first look. When her sister asked if she was ok, Jaime responded in the sweetest way possible "I just want to see Adam...I don't care about anything else right now, I just want to see him"!
First Look

We decided on the 33rd floor of the Loews Hotel for the first look. I knew ahead of time that Adam wasn't afraid to show his emotions. He didn't disappoint!

I've photographed many, many Center City Philadelphia Weddings but this was the first time I was able to go inside of City Hall into one of the original meeting rooms. We had to be fast and quiet so we didn't have time to learn about or reflect on all of the important decisions that had been made in the rooms over the last 100 plus years.

First Dance

DJ Yoshi went old school for Jaime and Adam with Bobby Darin's version of "More" for their First Dance.
"More than the greatest love the world has known
This is the love that I give to you alone
More than the simple words I try to say
I only live to love you more each day".
Crystal Tea Room Reception

As always, thank you for a stellar job by Miguel and his team at the Crystal Tea Room. And congratulations and a lifetime of joy to Jaime, Adam and their families!!
