Westin Philadelphia Wedding | Lauren and Cody

As with some of my clients that live outside of the Philadelphia area, I first met with Lauren's Mom, Lisa, before I had the opportunity to meet Lauren or Cody. Lisa and I met for coffee and had some great conversation about Lauren, Cody and their families. She's the type of person that once you sit down and chat with her, the next thing you know, hours have gone by and you don't even realize it. I left feeling that if the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, I'm going to like and get along with Lauren just fine!

Fast forward a couple of months to my first meeting with Lauren and Cody for their engagement session in New York's Central Park. I suggested a meeting place, the fountain at Bethesda Terrace. Unfortunately, I failed to realize that there are many fountains in that end of Central Park and we soon discovered that we were looking for each other but we were both in different places, ugh! Mind you, the sun is going down, we're losing light and oh, did I mention that this is our first time meeting each other! Ugh, I felt terrible!! It could've been a really bad first impression but thankfully we found each other, took a deep breath, shook hands, laughed it off and went about taking some beautiful photos and getting to know each other a bit.

Fast forward once again to the big day at The Westin in Center City Philadelphia. All the planning, all the phone calls, all the stress for both families, it was finally here! I knew it was going to be a very special day because Lauren and Cody's families wouldn't have it any other way!

Lauren looked stunning in her Monique Lhullier gown while Cody wore Ralph Lauren, and wore it well! Lauren's stylist's Jill Kozar and Casey Brophy did a beautiful job for all the girls as did Carl Alan Floral Designs. Everything about the day was truly wonderful. From Lauren and Cody's first look to the last photo of the night, their chemistry together was a pleasure to document. The same goes for their family and friends...what an awesome group of people.

I'd like to thank Darby Venema for keeping everything organized during the entire day, Doug Rivers for always being such a pleasure to work with and the folks in Dreamtime for keeping the dance floor packed all night. Also, a big shout out to my team for kicking ass, I can't do it with out you!! What an awesome day and a perfect way to start Lauren and Cody's married life together. Many thanks to the Licht and Porten families for having us.

Here are some of my favorites from their Westin Philadelphia wedding.
