Venue Information

The Down Town Club makes a striking impression on every guest. Its 3,000 square foot cocktail space offers panoramic views of the city skyline, making it the perfect setting for any special occasion. Plus, its built-in floor-to-ceiling bar guarantees that your guests will be well-served all night long. And for those looking for a truly VIP experience, they have a beautifully appointed boutique green room that's perfect for pre-party prep or post-event wind down. So whether you're hosting a corporate function, wedding, birthday bash, or anything in between, Down Town Club is sure to impress.

The Down Town Club was built in 1921 in the Georgian Revival style. It embodies the spirit of the Industrial Revolution, a time of modernization and luxury. The historic theater has hand-carved wood moldings and inlaid marble flooring, as well as sleek, basic furniture that reflects Philadelphia's mix of modern and colonial architecture. Guests feel fashionable as they take in the panoramic views of the city, thanks to the original brass chandeliers that have been renovated with high ceilings, and beautiful drapery. This chic venue pays homage to the depth and history of a nearly century-old space. Guests will feel like they are a part of a legendary Philadelphia affair the moment they walk into the Down Town Club.

Tip:

If you're having a DJ, consider positioning your Sweetheart table in the back of the room instead of up front (as soon as you walk in the ballroom doors). This allows for more space on the dancefloor and no one will be in the background of your photos! This particular setup will not work if you're having a band however.
