Stacey and Patrick designed their amazing Tendenza Wedding by taking standard traditions and making them their own! Stacey didn't bother with "something old, something new etc. Instead she and her groom incorporated "handfasting" into their non-traditional ceremony, adapting an old celtic tradition in which the couple's hands are bound together with a ribbon as public declaration of their commitment to each other. Stacey and Patrick used a beautiful ribbon with the words "to have and to hold" on it to update this ancient ritual.

The ceremony took place at Tendenza, which describes itself as is "an ultra-chic, modern industrial space." The couple took the modern feel and softened it with beautiful decorations, including hanging crystals and colorful flower arrangements. Stacey wore a Sottero and Midgley gown with a crystal bodice that she found at local boutique Philly Bride. After the ceremony, which also took place at Tendenza, the couple had select family members read messages of wisdom to them as they took steps down the aisle. The guests took advantage of the moment after each reading by showering the couple with confetti.

The reception had both an intimate and cosmopolitan vibe. Intimate because the bride and groom were surrounded by friends, parents, and other family. Cosmopolitan because the each reception table was named for a country that the bride and groom had visited. Stacey and Patrick will need more tables if they have a first anniversary party because they are currently updating tradition again by skipping traditional honeymoon spots such as Hawaii, opting instead for Moorea and New Zealand. This couple is destined to have many adventures in the years and decades ahead.
