A Romantic DIY Home Wedding |Andrea and John
Andre and John met at work and built a deep friendship over the years while they were forced to navigate the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic together. And it was during this time that their love began to grow.
Andrea was drawn to John’s mix of opposing traits, describing him as daring and adventurous while also being kind and thoughtful. She appreciated how he made her happy and excited and supported her during the most challenging time of her life.
John, in turn, was enamored with Andrea’s selflessness and kindness, her incredible talents, smart, articulate, a brilliant writer and musical. He considered her his best friend and was in awe of her ability to make him feel loved and supported. The couple realized they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together while on vacation in Tulum, Mexico.
John proposed in a romantic and intimate setting, surprising her with a private chef, candles, white flowers and a diamond ring he had picked out during a work trip to NYC.
The couple exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony in their backyard, surrounded by close family and friends. Their intimate DIY home wedding was simple and elegant, with homemade floral arrangements and twinkling lights creating a romantic ambiance. The couple’s children, Polly, Jake, Millie, Lillian and Lucy, also played a special role in the ceremony.
The reception was a joyous and relaxed affair, with delicious food and drinks, heartfelt speeches and plenty of laughter and dancing. Andrea and John’s family and friends were happy to be a part of their special day and support them in building their new family.
Andrea and John’s love for each other and their family was the heart of the celebration, and their DIY wedding at home was a beautiful and intimate reflection of that love.
